Can We Interview You For Our Next Publication?
Sharing Privilege: Young People of Color with Wealth Speak Out!
Are you a young person of color with wealth or do you know someone who is? Help others by sharing your story! You can have your name published or choose to remain anonymous. This booklet will reveal the untold stories of young people of color with wealth. Where did the money come from, how do you feel about your class privilege, and how are you giving back? Honest answers to these questions are hard to find, and impossible to find in print.
(We define “young” as under age 35, but we will consider interviewing people over 35 who had experience with personal wealth when they were under 35.)

Many young people with wealth struggle with a dissonance between their own class privilege and their values of social justice. That conflict can leave a person feeling isolated and confused. We at Resource Generation have found that hearing the honest stories of other people with shared experience is the most effective way that isolated people find inspiration. This booklet will serve as a catalyst for young people of color to move from inaction to action, increasing their giving of their money and their talents toward social justice.
In addition to personal stories, the 50-page booklet will include articles and opinion pieces on race & philanthropy and a resource section. "Sharing Privilege: Young People of Color with Wealth Speak Out!" will be published in 2008 by Resource Generation's CORE program
